AVO Playhouse HVAC System Replacement

The Work generally consists of: Removal and replacement of the AVO Playhouse HVAC equipment to be compliant with the requirements of Actors’ Equity Association.Auditorium: Remove & Replace #2-10-ton split system unitsStage: Remove & Replace #1-10-ton split systemLobby: Remove & Replace #1-3-ton unit2nd Floor: Remove & Replace #1-3-ton unitThe new HVAC system of the AVO must meet or exceed the current recommendations of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE 62.1-2019), along with any applicable local and state agency guidance. Specifically, Minimum HVAC shall be in accordance with ASHRAE 62.1 – 2019 and the specifications below:Filtration – The HVAC system must use a combination of filters and/or air cleaners that achieve Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV) 13, or better levels of performance for air recirculated by HVAC units.Operational Controls - control sequences must maintain intended ventilation, temperature, and humidity conditions during building operation. A daily flush must be scheduled in accordance with current ASHRAE recommendations and any applicable local or state guidance.CO2 Monitoring -As an indicator of proper ventilation throughout building occupation, all occupied areas shall be equipped with a CO2 monitor within each zone of the building.Ventilation Rate - Building systems must operate to provide the minimum ventilation rate requirements, during occupied periods, set forth in the current version of the applicable ASHRAE 62.1-2019 standard for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality or current locally adopted Mechanical Code, whichever is more stringent.
