REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR AUDIT PROPOSALS “050919” FOR CITY OF SOCORRO, NEW MEXICO City of Socorro 111 School of Mines Rd. Socorro, New Mexico 87801 ISSUE DATE: April 25, 2019 DUE DATE: May 9, 2019 Overview The City of Socorro is accepting three-year audit proposals for the 2018-2019, 2019-2020, 20202021 fiscal years. This will include a Federal Single Audit. The same criteria for evaluation of proposals as indicated by the State Auditor’s Office will be used. The City of Socorro was incorporated in 1882. It operates under a Mayor Council form of government. Municipal services include the usual governmental functions of police, dispatch, animal control, fire, water, sewer, parks & Recreations, swimming pool, public library and solid waste. Scope/Specifications The selected vendor will audit the City of Socorro financial activities in accordance with NM State Audit Rule 2019 2.2.2 NMAC a copy of which appears as Appendix A to this request for proposals and may also be obtained from the State Auditor’s Office web page at http://www.saonm.org/. ALL CONTRACTS ARE SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE STATE AUDITOR. Procurement Proposals will be accepted until 3:00 p.m., May 9, 2019. Any proposals received after the above date and/or time will be returned unopened. All proposals must be clearly marked RFP “050919” on the lower left corner of the envelope. The proposer shall assume full responsibility for the timely delivery of the Proposal. Any Proposal not clearly marked RFP “050919” will be disqualified.
