Box 488 Litchfield, CT 06759-0488 860.567.7550 (Phone) 860.567.7552 (Fax) BID PACKAGE for Audit Services BID #2025-29 March 12, 2025 Town of Litchfield REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL #2025-29 AUDITING SERVICES March 12, 2025 LEGAL NOTICE TOWN OF LITCHFIELD, CONNECTICUT INVITATION TO BID – BID #2025-29 Audit Services March 12, 2025 The Town of Litchfield, acting through its Board of Finance, is seeking proposals from qualified independent public accounting firms or accountants, in accordance with the provisions of the Connecticut General Statutes, to conduct an examination and to render an opinion on the annual financial statement of the Town. Bidding documents and specifications are available on the Town’s website www.townoflitchfield.org. Questions regarding the content of this RFP should be directed to Director of Finance, Amaechi Obi at financedirector@townoflitchfield.org. Sealed proposals will be received at Litchfield Town Hall, 74 West Street, Litchfield, CT 06759 until 11:00 a.m. on April 28, 2025 at which time and place they will be opened and read aloud in the Office of the First Selectman. Proposals received after that time will not be accepted and will be returned to the bidder unopened. Two sealed proposals should be clearly marked as follows: Envelope #1: Technical Proposal Envelope #2: Sealed Dollar Cost Bid The Town of Litchfield reserves the right to waive technical defects in the bids; to reject any bids which do not conform to terms and conditions described in the specifications; to reject any or all bids and again invite bids; and to waive informalities or irregularities in the bidding process. The award of a contract, if awarded, will be to the most responsible bidder, provided that the bid is reasonable, and provided that it is in the best interest of the Town of Litchfield to accept such bid, and subject to any choice by the Town of Litchfield as to any alternate specifications as may be agreed upon.
