Audit Services

Description

You are invited to submit a proposal to furnish independent audit services to the City of Champaign, the City of Champaign Firefighters Pension Fund, METCAD, the Champaign Public Library, the Champaign Public Library Foundation, and the Town of the City of Champaign. The purpose of these audit services will be to express separate opinions on the fairness of the presentation of the City’s and other entities’ annual financial statements for the fiscal years ending June 30, 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029 and 2030, to determine that foreign fire insurance funds have been expended for specified purposes (per 65 ILCS 5/11-10-2), to submit to the governing bodies of each entity a management letter advising of opportunities observed during the audit for economies and efficiencies in operations and improvements in internal control, to supply the necessary special reports on the City’s and other entities’ compliance with federally funded programs, to supply other state reports including the State of Illinois Comptrollers report, to prepare state and federal tax returns for the Champaign Public Library Foundation, to provide TIF compliance letters and to assist the City, as necessary, to obtain a “Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting” issued by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). The City requests each firm to provide a proposal on the work to be performed and reports to be provided as outlined in this Request for Proposal (RFP).
