As-Needed Construction Management Services

Description

The City of Vista (City) is soliciting proposals in response to this Request for Proposals (RFP) from qualified professionals to provide as-needed construction management services for various capital improvement projects. All proposals received by the due date will be evaluated in accordance with applicable provisions of the Vista Municipal Code (VMC) and the City will select one firm according to the evaluation criteria described in this RFP and any subsequent negotiations.The initial term or period of the contract shall be three years (36-months) from the date of award with the possibility of two (2) optional successive one-year (12-month) renewal periods. This contract may be renewed by the City for two (2) successive one-year periods under the terms and conditions of the original contract except as stated below. Price increases may be negotiated only at the time of renewal. Written notice of the City’s intension to renew shall be given approximately 90 calendar days prior to the expiration date of each contract period.This contract between City and Consultant for as-needed professional construction management services will have a ceiling amount of $450,000 for the three-year term. Funding will be identified on a project basis as determined by available grants and the approved Capital Improvement Program.Proposals shall be submitted in accordance with the requirements of this RFP. A separately uploaded electronic Fee Schedule (hourly rate) shall be included with the Proposal, which the City shall only open after first considering and ranking the qualifications presented by each firm.
