Description

The City of Tucson seeks a professional cultural planning firm to create a comprehensive, place-based Art, History, Heritage, and Culture (AHHC) Plan that will support the city's efforts of asset identification, mapping, planning, and management. As part of this work, the selected consultant will create an asset inventory and inclusion (valuation) process, a stakeholder directory and relationship matrix, lead the development of a strategic vision, and provide operational and investment recommendations.Tucson lies within North America’s oldest continuously inhabited region and is recognized globally as an important hub of diverse cultural heritage and home to a vibrant and creative community. The City is developing strategic and operational plans to expand capacity to steward a complex combination of tangible and intangible assets expressing heritage and culture—with an emphasis on elevating the voices and expressions of those who have been repressed or overlooked and protecting and preserving that which is in danger of being lost or destroyed.
