RFQ Campus Wide Video Surveillance Request for Qualifications – Architects Campus-Wide Video Surveillance and Security System Project The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, in accordance with policies of the Board of Trustees, is soliciting responses from qualified architects for the Campus Wide Video Surveillance and Security System Project. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff seeks responses from qualified firms to provide architectural services for the consultation on replacement and installation of a video surveillance system and all components necessary throughout the campus UAPB in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. A critical component of a comprehensive security plan is the utilization of video security systems, UAPB strives to enhance the quality of life of the cameras community by integrating the best practice of technology use for safety and security. As part of UAPB’s strategic plan, the goal is to modernize campus facilities and infrastructure to create an environment that is safe, accessible, and inviting to students, staff, faculty, alumni, and the greater community utilizing modern automated video analytics tools that are available today. The selected firm will work with the Chief of Police and Public Safety, IT department and the Facilities Management for location and specifications of the project. PROJECT COST The total project cost is currently estimated at $2.5 million. The Architects and consultants will work with the Facilities Management to advance campus master planning and design principles, as well as sustainability requirements.
