Annual Requirements for Fabrication of Station Control Panels (In-State Requirement)

Description

The City of Tucson intends to establish annual requirements contract for the Fabrication of Station Control Panels for the Tucson Water Department.  To ensure adequate product line selection, and to provide adequate geographic coverage of Tucson Water personnel, the city anticipates making awards to more than one Contractor.  The successful Contractor(s) who are awarded a contract as a result of this Request for Proposal process will have the opportunity to provide quotes on specific panel jobs when they arise.  To limit travel time, expense, and shipping costs, in-state fabrication will be required.The successful Contractor(s) shall fabricate Station Control Panels, at the request of the Tucson Water Department on an as-needed basis.  Panels shall be fabricated in accordance with the applicable specifications and plans that will be provide by the Tucson Water Department.  It is anticipated that the Tucson Water Department will purchase approximately 20 panels per year.  This is only an estimate, however, and the City reserves the right to increase or decrease this amount as circumstances require. When a specific panel request arises, the Tucson Water Department will provide the applicable specifications and plans to the successful Contractor(s) and request a price quote.  The request will typically include a delivery deadline.  The Tucson Water Department will evaluate the responses and ward the project to the Contractor whose quote is most advantageous to the Tucson Water Department with respect to price and delivery time. The City estimates to spend approximately $980,000 per year.
