Amendment to Emergency Repair, Neighborhood Rehab Program, and Gary Commission for Women, Gary Micro Enterprise Initiative, HON, Section 108 Loan

NOTICE OF SUBSTANTIAL AMENDMENT The City of Gary Community Development Department, would like to amend and make public the following changes to its Consolidated Annual Action Plans for Program Year 2023. Amendment to Emergency Repair, Neighborhood Rehab Program, and Gary Commission for Women, Gary Micro Enterprise Initiative, HON, Section 108 Loan: The organization has reached substantial agreement to reallocate funds from multiple existing projects to support the Fire Department with new equipment. The decision includes provisions for ongoing evaluation to ensure the new project delivers expected outcomes while mitigating any negative effects on the projects from which funds are being redirected. The Emergency Repair will be decreased from 2022 funding by $83,686.63; the Neighborhood Rehab Program will be decreased from 2022 funding by $18,135.66; and Gary Commission for Women will be decreased from 2022 funding by $131,694.17 and Gary Micro Enterprise Initiative will be decreased from 2023 funding by $67,815.50 and HON will be decreased from 2023 funding by $4,343.31 and Section 108 Loan will be decreased from 2023 funding by 75.000.00. The changes are consistent with the Citizen Participation Plan for the City of Gary, Department of Commerce, Community Development Division. The changes are considered substantial changes according to the criteria of the Plan. The amendment is consistent with Title 24, Department of Housing and Urban Development Regulations Part 91, Subpart F, Section 91.505 and Subpart B, Section 91.105. The amendment is available for public review and commentary for 30 days starting March 19, 2025 and ending April 30, 2025 at Community Development, 401 Broadway, Suite 300, Gary, IN 46402.
