The Airport is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide a new Class IV Index B Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicle that meets the requirements of CFR Part 139, FAA Advisory Circular AC 150/5220-10E Guide Specification for Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF), and the applicable requirements of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 414, Standard for Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting Vehicles (2007 Edition).In addition, the ARFF vehicle shall be equipped with a low-visibility enhanced vision subsystem, Forward Looking InfraRed (FLIR) device, or other comparable state-of-the-art low-visibility enhanced vision technology that meets the requirements of FAA Advisory Circular AC 150/5210-19A Driver’s Enhanced Vision System (DEVS).Training shall also be provided by the firm for two (2) Lakeland Fire Department vehicle mechanics.
