Sealed Competitive Public Trade Bid Proposals are due to be submitted to the Lemont Fire Protection District Headquarters, 15900 New Avenue, Lemont IL 60439 no later than 8 am, Tuesday September 29th, when bids will be opened. No late bids will be accepted. BID PACKAGES and related BID DOCUMENTS may be obtained beginning Thursday September 17th, 2026 on the Lemont Fire District Website: www.lemontfire.com. The Lemont Fire Protection District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, including any alternates considered, to waive any informalities and irregularities in the bidding, and to accept any proposal that the Lemont Fire Protection District deems most favorable for the best interest of the Lemont Fire Protection District. It is not the policy of the Fire Protection District Board of Trustees to accept bids based solely on price. Quality, conformity with specifications, promptness in delivery, previous service, and experience are also considered. The Lemont Fire Protection District’s Board of Trustees reserves the right to withdraw bids prior to purchase of any item. The Illinois Prevailing Wage Act applies to this project. All workers engaged in the construction and renovation of Fire Station One, Fire Station Three and Fire Station Four shall be paid no less than applicable Prevailing Wage Rates. Bidders shall minimally provide insurance coverage per the instructions to bidders.
