ADVERTISEMENT FOR REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS The City of Cedartown, Polk County, Georgia is looking for FIRMS TO PERFORM PROFESSIONAL AND CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR LEAD AND COPPER RULE REVISIONS COMPLIANCE LEAD SERVICE LINE INVENTORY AND REPLACEMENT PROGRAM. Scope of Service: (1) Firm needs to provide professional and construction service to the City of Cedartown, GA. - Develop and implement a service line database of both public and private side laterals or demonstrate the absence of lead service lines. - Provide a cost-effective solution to expedite populating and updating the service line inventory and to identify areas that potentially have LSLs using public works staff and building departments knowledge, as-builts, GIS data, building code information, field investigation, etc. - Provide recommendations and training to City Staff for the on-going management of the SLM database. - Develop a map showing the SLM inventory results for making it available to the public on City's website; train staff in maintenance and operation of the website. - Confirm with the State on what will be acceptable verification of service line materials. - Conduct field service line verification to identify unknown service line materials via: excavation, hand hole, pot hole or other approved means to accomplish this task. (2) A virtual pre-proposal conference will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024, at 2:00 pm. (3) Responses to this RFP must be received by the City no later than Friday, February 2, 2024, at 2:00 pm. SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS All firms are encouraged, but not required, to attend a virtual Pre-Proposal Conference. The Proposals must be received by the City no later than 2:00 pm, Friday, February 2, 2024.
