ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed proposals for the construction of the I-20 Crossing at Exit 133 Carrier Pipe Replacement will be received by the City of Irondale, Alabama (“Owner”) in the Council Chambers at the City Hall in Irondale, Alabama at 101 20th Street South, Irondale, Alabama, until 2:00 p.m., the prevailing time on March 31, 2025 or by mailing to 101 20th Street South, Irondale, Alabama 35210 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. The bid is comprised of the following: Installation of 800 L.F. + 18” steel casing within existing 24” casing with grout filled 1,200 L.F. + of 12” restrained joint ductile iron pipe and appurtenances Plans and specifications may be inspected at the Irondale Water Department and Municipal Consultants, Inc. in Birmingham, Alabama and they may be obtained from the office of Municipal Consultants, Inc., 200 Century Park South, Suite 212, Birmingham, Alabama 35226, upon payment of $75.00. Cost of plans and specifications are nonrefundable. All Bidders must be responsible, meeting the criteria and requirements set forth in the specification documents. Prequalification of Bidders is not required. This project is considered a “Public Works” project and is governed by bid laws as contained in Title 39 of the Alabama Code. Bidders, subcontractors, suppliers, and Bond Agents should be familiar with this code. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days from the date set for receiving of the same. There will not be a Pre-Bid Conference.
