City of Cedartown, Georgia Cedartown Library Renovation Advertisement for Bids (Project No. 22017) The City of Cedartown, Georgia, is seeking sealed bids for the renovation of an existing library as described in the Specifications, Construction Drawings, and Bid Documents. The sealed bids will be received by Edward Guzman, City Manager, in the Commission Chamber of Cedartown City Hall, 201 East Avenue, Cedartown, Georgia, 30125, until the 23rd of May 2024 at 2:00 P.M. local time. At that time and place the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Submit one copy of executed offer on Bid Forms provided, signed, sealed in a closed, opaque envelope, and clearly identified with Bidder’s name and address, Project name, and Owner’s name on the exterior. Bids are submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 days after submission. General Scope of Work: The work to be done consists of furnishing all the labor, tools, equipment, and materials necessary for the renovation of the Cedartown Library as described in the Specifications, Construction Drawings, and Bid Documents. Requirements and Documents: Electronic Bidding Documents may be obtained from the City of Cedartown’s, website: http://www.cedartowngeorgia.gov/. It is the responsibility of interested parties to periodically check the website for any new information that may be posted. Printed Bidding Documents may be obtained from Greene’s Blueprinting, LLC, located at 169 South Church Street, Canton, Georgia, 30114, and contact information being (770) 479-3773 and greeneprinting@greeneprinting.com. Bonds: Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid Sum on standard surety company form. A faithful Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the Bid, and a Labor & Materials Payment Bond in the amount of not less than the amount of said Bid, one hundred percent (100%), as provided by Georgia Code Section 23-1704 and 23-1705, shall be furnished by the successful bidder. The City of Cedartown reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive informalities, and to resolicit if deemed necessary.
