Town of Surfside ITB 2023-05 Town Stormwater Improvements Abbott Avenue Pump Station Project Addendum No. 4 Date Issued: November 1, 2023 To All Proposers: Proposers for the above-referenced ITB shall take note of the following changes, additions, deletions or clarifications to ITB No. 2023-05, which in accordance with the ITB Documents shall become a part of and have precedence over anything shown or described otherwise in the ITB. THE FOLLOWING RESPONSES/CLARIFICATIONS ARE PROVIDED BY THE TOWN IN RESPONSE TO QUESTIONS/COMMENTS ADDRESSED AT THE NON-MANDATORY PREBID CONFERENCE HELD ON OCTOBER 31, 2023, AT 11:00 A.M.: 1. During the pre-bid conference meeting, a question arose about the size of the manholes and the tee inside of them. KEITH will confirm if the manhole opening is wide enough. 2. At the pre-bid conference meeting, there was a question about the asphalt mix design specifications. KEITH will revise the specs to align with FDOT requirements. 3. In the pre-bid conference meeting, there was a question concerning the force main pipe on 92nd Street. KEITH will revise the specifications to exclude chlorination, but the pig will still be required. 4. In the pre-bid conference meeting, there was a question about the recent addendum addressing Liquidated Damages. The Town reiterates that the specific amount has not been set yet, but it's estimated to be between $500 and $750 a day. Bid bonds are not required for this ITB, however, the Town reserves the right to request one. 5. During the pre-bid conference meeting, the Town also mentioned their intention to present the bid award at the January 9th Commission Meeting. However, they will determine if it can be expedited.
