Town of Surfside RFQ 2023-02 Design Services for the Surfside Memorial Addendum No. 3 Date Issued: June 23, 2023 To All Respondents: Respondents for the above-referenced RFQ shall take note of the following changes, additions, deletions or clarifications to RFQ No. 2023-02, which in accordance with the RFQ Documents shall become a part of and have precedence over anything shown or described otherwise in the RFQ. FOLLOWING THE QUESTION RECEIVED JUNE 21, 2023, THE BELOW CLARIFICATION AND CHANGE ARE PROVIDED AS THE TOWN’S OFFICIAL RESPONSE: Question Received: While it is noted as ‘Design Services for the Surfside Memorial’, I see on page 15, under D,' Qualifications/Experience of the Firm/Respondent’, item a. the following: ‘a. To be eligible to respond, Consultant must demonstrate Consultant is a State of Florida Licensed Professional Engineering firm.’ During my initial reading of the document, this is the first time I’ve seen that specification. Please advise if the respondent selected is restricted to engineering firms only. There are many dimensions to this project and I’m wondering, if the way I’m reading it is correct, Surfside is looking for an engineering firm that would then assemble their own team, including designers with the expertise to participate. Your response to clarify will be greatly appreciated. Change Provided – RFQ Section 3.3.D.a. is revised as follows: To be eligible to respond, Consultant must demonstrate that the Consultant has a State of Florida Licensed Professional Engineer on the Project team. Clarification Provided: 1 The Town is seeking one qualified design firm (the “Consultant” or “Respondent”) to perform architectural, engineering, and landscape design services (the “Services”) for the Surfside Memorial Project. The Project design shall be provided by a multi-disciplined team of Landscape Architecture, Architecture Design and Engineering professionals and shall provide design services, engineering services, cost estimating, cost management, value analysis, value engineering, cost tradeoff pricing, and peer review. The lead consultant, assigned by the firm to this Project, shall be a Landscape Architect who will function as the lead team member overseeing all other team members and subconsultants.
