Town of Surfside ITB 2025-03 Dune Restoration Project Addendum No. 2 Date Issued: November 21, 2025 To All Bidders: This Addendum modifies and becomes a part of Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 2025-03. All bidders must acknowledge receipt of this Addendum. The following responses, clarifications, and changes are hereby made to the ITB: • The deadline to submit sealed bids is extended from Monday, November 24th, 2025, at 2:00 PM to Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM. • The public bid opening will occur on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM. In response to the questions received below are the responses provided: 1. Due to the increase of the fill sand from 7,285 cy to 11,500 cy and the Surfside mix from 1,030 cy to 5,500 cy ; the Sand Barrier furnishing , what is the engineers Estimate? Response: An updated engineer’s estimate has been provided as part of this addendum. 2. Due to the increase of the Sand quantities what’s the current budget for the Project Response: An updated engineer’s estimate has been provided as part of this addendum. 3. Is there a specification for the sand barrier? Response: Sand barrier to be landscape edging. Please see updated plan sheet C204 for detail. 4. Bid item 1 asks for labor, material and equipment including compacting sand and bid items 2 and 3 require the same. 1 Response: Please find the updated bid worksheet as part of this addendum. 5. Could you please identify the point of entry and staging area? Response: It is the Contractors responsibility to identify staging area as part of this contract. Access to the project area is available via multiple public roadways that are adjacent to the project area. 6. Can the grain size be increased to. 0.60 or 0.65 ,. The small increase in mean grain size is not noticeable while walking on the beach. However, studies show a larger mean grain size reduces beach erosion. Response: No, the grain size needs to meet the JCP documents which are specific on the upland sources. The accepted fill material needs to have a mean grain size of 0.3 to 0.55 per the approved Quality Control Plan. 7. Confirm post size Drawings page C204: 2”x2” post, Existing conditions 4”x4” post Response: Post to be 4x4. Please see updated sheet C204 for revised detail. 8. Confirm post cap: Not included in drawings. Existing conditions 4”x4” pyramid copper post cap. Response: Post cap to match existing 4x4 pyramid copper post cap.
