Central R-3 2026 District Camera System and Door Control System RFP Walk-Through Follow-Up Q/A ●​ Regarding RFP Section 1. D. ii. stating "For legacy locations, the vendor must test and certify existing cabling before connecting to the new Cloud Connectors": ○​ The requirement for certification refers specifically to verifying that cable ends are intact and the cabling is fully operational; only basic cable testing is required; not full certification. ●​ “Does the vendor need to provide patch panels?” Yes, if vendor recommends it is needed. ●​ Central Elementary Door Access ○​ Front door will be an intercom with keypad solution ●​ When swapping Dahua units for Alta or a comparable brand, the vendor is tasked with the removal of the previous cameras, however, any outdated or non-functional cameras not specifically slated for replacement are to remain in their existing positions. ●​ “Can the vendor recommend something other than Opengate?” Yes, and multiple options, specs, and pricing can be given. ●​ Slimmer keypad models are generally favored for both new and replacement installations at door sites to minimize their footprint, with the exception of instances where an integrated intercom and keypad unit is specified. ●​ Correction to the camera count.
