Item Description 3.0 – QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS The following questions and answers are provided as a matter of information to clarify issues raised about the Bid Documents. Item Questions and Answers What gauge wire reinforcing is required for the concrete slabs? 1 10-gauge wire will be sufficient. 2 3 Will there be a thickened edge or turn down at the perimeter of the slabs? If so, please provide a detail with any required rebar. No, the edge will remain the same. It appears that there needs to be a thicker detail for supporting the steel posts. The supplier’s literature mentions that they use ½” x 8-1/2” concrete wedge anchors. Please provide a cross section or at least a detailed description of this area of concrete. A detailed description is not available at this time. All dugouts should be installed per the manufacturer’s recommendations. 4 Will there be a 4” #57 stone base under concrete slab? An adequate base such as 4” of #57 stone is suitable. 5 Will it be required to reestablish grass around the work area or will existing dirt re-spread and compacted be sufficient? Yes, grass seed should be re-established if needed in the work areas. END OF ADDENDUM
