REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL RFP26-001 Telephone System Replacement Addendum #2 Questions and Answers As of March 18, 2025 RFP26-001 Addendum #2 Page 1 Questions and Answers Question: Can the district specify the number and types of analog devices (e.g., paging systems, emergency lines) currently connected via adaptors, and their exact integration requirements? Answer: Answer: As stated in the prior addendum, exact integration requirements for these systems will need to be determined during the design phase. However, the district believes that this is primarily comprised of analog loop starts for the paging system interconnection, and for survivability/911 calling. Additionally, the district is currently maintaining at least one 1MB line for fax at each site, which should either be moved to an analog adapter in this system or an EFax system. Estimated counts are as follows: Site Analog Loop Analog Loop Start Start for for Paging System 911/Survivability Adult School 1 2 Berkeley Arts Magnet 1 1 Berkeley High School 2 3 Berkeley Technology Academy 1 1 Cragmont 1 1 Emerson 1 1 Ruth Acty 1 2 John Muir 1 1 King Middle School 1 1 Longfellow Middle School at BAS 1 2 Malcolm X 1 2 West campus (DO and Oxford) 2 1 Rosa Parks 1 1 Sylvia Mendez 1 1 Thousand Oaks 1 1 Washington 1 1 Willard Middle School 1 1 Transportation 1 1 Franklin Preschool 1 1 Hopkins Early Childhood 1 1 King CDC 1 1 RFP26-001 Addendum #2 Page 2 Ninth St 1 0 Parker St 1 0 Richmond 0 1 Question: Should the proposal for monthly service charges include all applicable taxes (local, state, city, telecom taxes), or should it only show the base service fees without taxes? Answer: Yes, proposed costs should include all applicable taxes and fees. Question: Does the evaluation committee expect to see a cost per site with a roll-up total, or just a total cost districtwide? Answer: It is not necessary to separate out the costs for each site, a single total for the district is sufficient. Question: How many programmable keys (e.g., BLF/DSS keys) are expected on administrator phones? Answer: The district expects capabilities equivalent to those found in the current phones.
