Prevailing Time This addendum must be signed, attached to, and returned with your proposal to the City of Reading by the time and date indicated ABOVE. THE NEW DUE DATE FOR THIS PROJECT IS JUNE 29, 2023 @ 2:00 pm (prevailing time). Q1. Please confirm the contract period is 240 days from time of NTP for this project? A1. The contract time proposed is 240 days from the Notice to Proceed. Q2. Is this a rebid of the same project that was bid on 4/18/23? A2. Yes Q3. Would you consider extending the question deadline at all? A3. Not at this time Q4. I don't see any Wages in the docs, did I miss them? A4. Wages for this project will be posted with this Addendum. Q5. Sheet 9 (E&S plan) is blank in the bid set provided. Please provide. A5. E&S has been provided in this addendum. Q6. What is the intent for access to the fountain area considering the brick paver circle and seat walls are to remain? It calls out boring for utilities but we will also need to complete demo and replacement of items inside the circle. A6. Yes, the brick seat wall and the brick paves on the outside of the seat wall are to remain during demolition, repointed and cleaned. On the inside of the seat wall, the brick pavers, fountain vault and plumbing are to be removed. During construction of the fountain and basin, the existing seat wall and brick paver will need to be protected from being damaged. Addendum 1 Centre Park Revitalization Project 1 Q7. A7. Please confirm that the purchase of lights and fountain are by the contractor. Lights and fountain are purchased by the contractor Q8. Are items 18-bluestone pavers and 19-Bluestone Paver band to follow the same detail for PA Bluestone Pavement on sheet DE-1? A8. The bluestone pavers and the bluestone bands will have the same stone and concrete base mortar setting bed and bluestone pavers. Please refer to Sheets SP-1 and SP-2 for the location of the expansion joints needed for the bluestone bands. Expansion joints to be the full depth from finished grade down to the stone base. Expansion joints are also around the entire length of the existing brick paver bands to remain separating the proposed concrete and/or bluestone (add alternate) pavement. Expansion joints are a heavier line weight than the tooled concrete joints.
