Addendum #1 Whitesville Road Soccer Complex - Expansion Project Artificial Sports Turf System - RFP (4/24/2025) Natural Grass Sports Turf System – RFP (4/24/2025) 1700 Whitesville Road, LaGrange, Ga 30240 Will Troup County accept proposals for alternative turf products (artificial and/or natural grass) that meet and/or exceed the specifications of the turf product(s) identified in the RFP? • Yes, alternative/equivalent turf products (artificial and/or natural grass) may be submitted for approval showing compliance with the specifications. Troup County is open to alternative/equivalent turf products that provide an equal and/or greater value for the project. Please submit an RFI for any proposed alternative turf product(s) demonstrating compliance with specifications, prior to the RFI deadline at close of business (5:00pm) on 20 MAY 2025. Which soccer fields will be installed with artificial sports turf versus natural grass turf? • Troup County has not decided on the exact number of fields with artificial sports turf versus natural grass turf. That decision will be made after the Bid Proposal Forms have been submitted, opened, and presented to the Board of Commissioners for approval. Please submit the completed Bid Proposal Forms, which provide pricing for all three (3) new soccer fields and/or one (1) individual new soccer field. Troup County may select any combination of artificial sports turf and/or natural grass turf on the new soccer fields. Where will the selected sports turf contractor access the job site and store (lay down) materials and equipment during the installation? • After talking with the grading contractor (currently on-site), the selected sports turf contractor shall access the three (3) new soccer fields from the rear driveway off Fort Drive (same as the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting). The grading contractor will NOT install the asphalt paving on the rear parking lot off Fort Drive until AFTER the sports turf installation has been completed. Also, the grading contractor will leave out a section of concrete curb/gutter and sidewalks until AFTER the sports turf installation has been completed. Therefore, the selected sports turf contractor will have direct access to the three (3) new soccer fields, via compacted GAB with plenty of storage (lay down) area. What athletic lines need to be in-laid into the artificial sports turf? • The artificial sports turf field(s) shall be in-laid with lines for football, soccer, and high school lacrosse.
