Abandoned Shopping Cart Retrieval Services

Description

The County of San Mateo is seeking quotations from qualified contractors/vendors to provide abandoned shopping cart retrieval services within the unincorporated areas of the County. Services include:  Task 1: Service Request Response  The contractor shall retrieve abandoned shopping carts reported through the County’s reporting platform or other County communication methods within three (3) business days of notification.  Contractor will collect abandoned shopping carts and return them to the retailer. If a retailer has an existing reimbursement or cart retrieval program in place, the contractor shall first seek reimbursement directly from the retailer and shall not invoice the County for those retrieval services. If the cart is unmarked or unidentifiable, contractor is responsible for proper disposal or recycling of cart. Contractor shall have ability to remove and properly of any clearly discarded materials or trash contained in the carts. Task 2: Weekly Monitoring of Hotspots and Patrol of Roadways  In addition to responding to reported carts, the contractor shall proactively identify and retrieve abandoned shopping carts thro
