Below is a bid notice for exterior rehabilitation for two (2) homes in the City of Muscatine located at 510 Spring and 717 Mulberry Ave. NOTICE TO BIDDERS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: Sealed proposals will be received from general contracts for the rehabilitation for two (2) homes in the City of Muscatine. The scope of work includes gutter, facia/soffit, doors, siding, tuck pointing, roof, drain tile, and window improvements. This work is being financed through Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. The homes are presumed to contain lead-based paint, and contractors bidding on the rehabilitation project for these homes must have documentation of successful completion of Lead Safe Work Practices training Bids are being solicited by invitation and through published public notice. Bids received from contractors barred from participation in federally assisted projects will be rejected. All bids must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. For bids to be considered responsive, a bid amount must be provided for each line item. Muscatine Center for Social Action (MCSA), on behalf of the City of Muscatine, IA, will furnish to qualified bidders the necessary Instructions to Bidders, Project Specifications, and any other applicable documents, which are required in conjunction with the project specifications.
