The City of Pensacola (the “City”) is advancing redevelopment efforts at the former Baptist Hospital campus (FBHC Site) to support long-term community recovery, resilience, and neighborhood revitalization. The southern portion of the site (South FBHC or project area), which is funded in part through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant–Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program, currently contains multiple buildings that are no longer suitable for continued use due to their age, condition, and the presence of regulated hazardous building materials. The purpose of this project is to: • Remove unsafe and obsolete structures that pose risks to public safety• Mitigate environmental and public health hazards associated with regulated materials• Eliminate blight and improve site conditions to support neighborhood revitalization• Prepare the site for safe, resilient, and sustainable redevelopment• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and labor standards• Promote full and open competition and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local procurement, labor, civil rights, Section 3, and contractor outreach/reporting requirements applicable to CDBG-DR funded activities.
