October 28, 2025 City of Mercedes ADDENDUM NO. 2025-004 (A) Request for Proposals for RECREATION CENTER ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECT Prospective Proposers and all concerned are hereby notified of the following changes in the Request for Proposals document for the above-listed RFP. These changes shall be incorporated in and shall become an integral part of the RFP documents. 1. A mandatory pre-bid meeting site visit will be held on: Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. 2. Proposal Requirements: a. Detailed cost proposal for: i. Base Proposal (Silicone Coating) ii. Option 1 (TPO Roofing System) iii. Option 2 (Polyurethane Foam System) **1. Scope** Provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to clean, prepare, and apply a high-solids silicone roof coating system over the existing metal roof surfaces at the Mercedes Recreation Center. Work includes all preparation, seam treatment, application, and associated details to provide a complete and warrantable waterproof roof system. **2. Roof Area** Total roof area: approximately 13,572 square feet (Upper ~7,872 sq ft; Lower ~5,700 sq ft). **3. Materials** Coating shall be a 100% silicone elastomeric roof coating, solvent-free or low-VOC, designed for use over metal substrates. Acceptable manufacturers: Gaco, Progressive Materials, Tropical Roofing Products, GE Silicones, or approved equal meeting these requirements: * Tensile strength: ≥ 250 psi (ASTM D412) * Elongation: ≥ 150% (ASTM D412) * Permeance: ≤ 6 perms @ 20 mils (ASTM E96) * Reflectivity: ≥ 0.80 (ASTM C1549) **4.
