2024 U-Cycle Multifamily Recycling Collection and Processing Services

Description

The City of Urbana's multifamily U-Cycle recycling program seeks an experienced and qualified recycling contractor to provide recycling collection and processing services for multifamily residential housing within the city limits. The multifamily recycling program includes apartment homes, converted single-family homes, rooming houses, and fraternities and sororities with five (5) or more units.The contract term is five (5) years, with a two-year, mutually agreed upon, extension option.  Expected start date is Monday, March 31, 2025, or an earlier start date, as otherwise negotiated.It is the desire of the City to provide high quality recycling services to multifamily residents. To that end, it is expressly stated that the City may, at its sole discretion, elect to enter into a single contract or multiple contracts to provide multifamily recycling services. The City reserves the right to select a vendor that is not lowest bid.  The City may enter into a second contract with a second vendor for emergency on-call services.
