2022 "May is Bike Month" Campaign (RFP# 2021-07)

Description

The Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) is seeking a qualified local non-profit and/or public partner to take over and manage all aspects of the May is Bike Month Campaign. The selected partner will have discretion regarding all activities and technology used for the campaign. SACOG highly encourages proposers to consider partnerships that will allow the proposer to best reach residents in all parts of the six-county region. This could include public/non-profit partners applying jointly or adding private partners as well. The lead applicant needs to be a public or non-profit organization.This is a unique opportunity to manage the region’s most recognized alternative mode campaign that regularly attracts thousands of participants each year. The selected non-profit and/or public partner will have administrative access to all May is Bike Month social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) and the www.mayisbikemonth.com platform. If a non-profit / public partner would like to use a different website or platform to collect trip information from participants, they must clearly state the preferred platform, describe its functionality, share its estimated cost, and include the platform vendor as a sub-applicant in the response to this Request for Proposal (RFP). Regardless of which platform is used, the selected partner will be responsible for managing the platform throughout the campaign – including timely responses to participant questions and general troubleshooting of technical issues as they arise.The selected non-profit and/or public partner will need to demonstrate their experience and/or qualifications in several categories:Community outreach and marketing campaign development and management, with a specific focus on active transportationCoordination with regional partners, including being the main point of contact for al
