2021 Sidewalk Replacement Program

Description

It is the intent of these Supplementary Specifications from the Township of Wayne, Passaic County, to outline the requirements for the replacement of damaged or deteriorated or uplifted sidewalks on various streets and on Township property. The work shall include constructing new Concrete Sidewalk, constructing new Concrete Driveway Aprons, constructing Concrete Curbs and/or Drop Curbs as specified, clearing and grubbing, excavation and disposal of existing unclassified material, placement and compaction of select DGA Fill material in 8” lifts to a 95% optimum density, excavation and realignment of an existing drainage ditch, installation of Rip Rap Stone along banks of Drainage Ditch, and related items.The headings of the Sections, Subsections, and Subparts contained herein conform to the New Jersey Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction 2007 (Standard Specifications) and all addenda and amendments thereto. Unless specifically revised or deleted hereinafter, the Standard Specifications shall govern in its entirety. All references to Sections, Subsections or Subparts with respect to Revisions or Deletions refer explicitly to the New Jersey Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction 2007.Whenever in the New Jersey Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction 2007 any reference is made to the State, Commissioner, Department or the like, it will be construed to mean the Township of Wayne.
