JASPER INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT SALE OF REAL PROPERTY BID PACKAGE BID# 2020RP001 I. INVITATION FOR BID The Board of Trustees of the Jasper Independent School District (“JISD”) hereby serves notice that it will accept sealed bids for its interest in the following real property (“the Property”): Approximately 17 acres out of Abstract 2, the John Bevil League, Jasper County, Texas. The Property may contain environmental conditions, in particular the former school facility which due to the age of construction has the possibility of asbestos materials and lead based paint. The purchaser will be required to assume all duties, costs, and risks of abatement of such conditions. Anyone interested in inspecting/ touring the Property may contact Mr. John Seybold, Superintendent, to schedule an appointment. The Property is being sold “as is and where is, with any and all latent and patent defects and faults.” There is no warranty of any kind by JISD, including that the Property is fit for a particular purpose. In addition, the Property is being sold subject to the conditions, exceptions and reservations contained in the invitation to bid, instruction to bidders, and exhibits thereto, and subject to all recorded interests. The Board of Trustees plans to take action on bids at the next scheduled meeting after the bid opening. JISD reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in bids received. Bids received after the deadline or faxed bids may not be considered. BID RESPONSES MUST BE SUBMITTED ON BID FORMS INCLUDED IN THE BID PACKAGE. THE BID PACKAGE CONTAINS REQUIRED BID TERMS AND DESCRIPTIVE INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROPERTY. BID RESPONSES NOT MADE AS SET FORTH 4815-9913-7231, v. 2 BY THE BID PACKAGE MAY BE DEEMED NON-RESPONSIVE AND MAY NOT BE CONSIDERED.
