How will “necessary” repair of treads, handrail, toe-plate, etc. be determined? a. Must meet current codes 4. Is it the intention of this RFP to remove all existing coatings by means of abrasive blasting for the entire scope of work? Working in Tanks farms in the past Abrasive blasting has not been allowed due to sparking. a. Means and methods to be determined by bidder 5. Is the painting contractor responsible for fabrication and install of new steel? a. All items of the RFP must be bid 6. Who will be inspecting to warrant new fabrications? a. Construction Inspection by others 7. Are there any underground pipe locations other than what was shown inn Figures 9 and 10? a. no 8. Is there a bid form for this project? a. No 9. Please clarify if new pump/motor skids will need to be blasted and re-coated with System 3 products. In the RFP document, mention is made to not blast/paint electrical components and conduit, but during the official walkthrough, verbal reference was made to include blast/paint of electrical components. Please advise. a. Pump and motor skids will only be recoated 10. Please clarify any specified permits the SRAA would be looking for outside of the standard hot work permit (for any onsite fabrication/blasting) and the DEC permits that may be required for the underground pipe work.
