Town of Surfside REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATION 2020-06 Addendum No. 2 Date Issued: August 6, 2020 To All Proposers: Proposers for the above-referenced RFQ shall take note of the following changes, additions, deletions or clarifications to RFQ No. 2020-06, which in accordance with the RFQ Documents shall become a part of and have precedence over anything shown or described otherwise in the RFQ. THE FOLLOWING CHANGES ARE MADE TO THE RFQ: 1. Are you looking for various firms for categories such as: • Civil Engineering • Surveying • Structural • Geo • Traffic and Transportation • Architect • Etc. Answer: We are looking for firms that can provide all or some of the disciplines (not all required). 2. Or are you looking for an all-inclusive team that has all potential disciplines on the TEAM or are you looking for a Firm that has all disciplines in-house. Answer: A team is not required. Multiple contracts may be issued to qualified firms. We are looking for firms that can provide all or some of the disciplines (not all required). 3. If you are looking for a Team with consultants for the various disciplines do you want an Engineer or an Architect to prime the Team? Answer: A team is not required. Multiple contracts may be issued to qualified firms. We are looking for firms that can provide all or some of the disciplines (not all required). 1 4. Clarification on “small or disadvantaged” businesses listed under Company Questionnaire firm references. Answer: There is no specific requirement in the RFP for disadvantaged or minority firms. 5. Provide a list of incumbent firms for the Continuing Professional Engineering Services Contract, RFQ No. 2020-06. Answer: Calvin Giordano 6. Can the prime be a structural engineering firm? Answer: A prime isn’t needed as the Town will be awarding to a pool of qualified firms. 7. Are you looking for a team that will fulfill all the services you are requiring? Answer: Not necessarily as the Town will be awarding to a pool of qualified firms. 8. Do you require any specific technical certifications from subconsultants? Answer: The retained consultant(s) shall demonstrate specific experience and capabilities and must have personnel qualified through education and experience in the specified disciplines. Firms should provide in-house capability for all the required services, but subcontracting for specialty services will be considered.
