The following questions were received, and the responses follow: 1. Addendum 2 does not contain any of the water relocation/adjustment items. Is the water to be included in this bid? If so, will the water items be added to the bid? a. There is no new or replacement water line included in the bid. The adjustments are called out in the bid drawings. On page 428 of the original bid packet, there is a sheet titled "Cobb County Water System Bid Quantities." Because the water line improvements are minor, they chose not to submit a seperate 44 series, and incorporated within the engineered plans. 2. With the typical sections being revised to require Class B Concrete Pvmt Widening there should be no need for Pvmt Fabric Strips TP2. Will this item be removed? a. Yes, pavement fabric strips can be removed. 3. Addendum 2 removed all but 1 Flashing Beacon Installation Item. Will the other 5 locatiosn be added to the Bid Form? a. Since this item is lump sum, only 1 item was shown. The bid should include the cost for all 6 Flashing Beacons. 4. The project documents indicate that the final helical pile size, depth, and configuration are to be determined by the helical pile designer/provider based on the anticipated structural loads provided by the geotechnical engineer. However, the geotechnical report recommends an 8.5-inch-diameter helical pile. Please confirm whether the 8.5-inch pile size is a mandatory minimum requirement or whether the helical pile designer/provider may select a smaller pile system, provided the proposed system is engineered to satisfy the required design loads, installation torque, and applicable safety factors. a. The final design is determined by the Helical pier designer. They may choose a different size as they see fit as long as it meets the structural designers standards. 5.
