Russell, City Clerk 4415 Center Street Acworth, Georgia 30101 (678) 801-4024 www.acworth-ga.gov IFB 2026-06 Acworth Due West/Ragsdale Road Multi Use Trail Project Addendum 2 July 28, 2026 The purpose of this addendum is to address questions that have been received regarding Invitation for Bids 2026-06 Acworth Due West/Ragsdale Road Multi Use Trail Project. The following questions were received, and the responses follow: 1. Please clarify if there is a date for the question deadline. a. Questions are due by end of day, August 5, 2026. 2. Would the Owner consider a timber pile foundation as an acceptable alternate to helical pile foundations, provided that the alternate is designed to meet or exceed all required structural loading, durability, and performance criteria outlined in the contract documents? a. No 3. Will a geotechnical engineer be required to be onsite the entire time that piles are being driven to document refusal depths? Or is this something that can be provided by the contractor? a. No, a geotechnical engineer will not be required to be onsite the entire time. Depths can be provided by the contractor. 4. The bid documents stipulate that each contractor shall visit the site and schedule a site visit with Angie Luna prior. Is this an actual requirement so that the owner can be present, or is it ok for the contractor to visit the site by themselves? a. Contractors may visit the site themselves, and it is not required to set up an appointment. 5. What is the expected start date for this project? a. Within 60 days of bid date. 6. Regarding the note on the drawings, “clear all trees within right of way of both sides on Ragsdale Rd”: since the scope of work is intended to be performed on the north side of the road, please confirm that removing trees on the south side of the road is not required? a.
