TIPI MILLER BID ANNOUNCEMENT BID # 25-0415-01 Opelika City Schools BUS SURPLUS The Opelika City Schools Board of Education will be accepting sealed bids on the selling of surplus buses as outlined in the bid packet. Sealed bids will be received in the Superintendent’s Office, 300 Simmons Street, Opelika, Alabama 36801, until 3:00 p.m. CST on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at which time they will be opened and read aloud. The Opelika City Schools Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in the bids received. All accepted bids will be final. Sealed bids will be received in the Superintendent’s Office, 300 Simmons Street, Opelika, Alabama 36801, until 3:00 p.m. CST., Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at which time they will be opened and read aloud. The Opelika City Schools Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to waive any irregularities in the bids received. Bids may not be withdrawn, modified or altered after the bid opening. The buses may be viewed on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, and Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at the Opelika City Schools Bus Shop, 1521 Hooper Avenue, Opelika, Alabama 36801, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. CST. Bids are to be submitted on the form attached and are to be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked “BID # 25-0415-01 – SURPLUS BUS BID” TUESDAY, APRIL 15, 2025, 3:00 P.M. CST. Bids will be awarded per line item. Payment shall be made to the Opelika City Schools Board of Education either in cash or by cashier’s check within 10 business days after bid opening. Buses will not be released until payment is received. Bidder must remove bus purchased from Opelika City Schools’ property within 10 business days after bid opening.
