QUESTION 2 Detail H states that NEW DOOR FRAMES WILL REMAIN UNFILLED (NO CONCRETE) FOR INSULATION. What is the reasoning for this out of curiosity? It is something that is commonly vital to commercial grade doors. Also, some of the 7’ openings will have an area on the header that will require foam filling and grouting because of the differences in header height. Concrete has been the source of moisture which has escalated the door frames rusting from the inside of the door frame.
