NOTICE The City of Mercedes is accepting sealed bids for Eight (8) Police Interceptors until 4:00 P.M., Friday, October 21, 2022, at which time they will be opened in the City Manager’s Office. Any bid received after the time for opening shall be returned unopened. Bids submitted via fax will not be accepted. Bids specifications are available and can be obtained at the Office of the City Secretary, 400 S. Ohio Ave., Mercedes, TX 78570, (956) 565-3114 ext. 138, beginning Friday, October 7, 2022 at 5:00 P.M. or on the City’s website at www.cityofmercedes.com. Each bidder shall furnish the information required on the proposal forms. The bids shall be sealed and addressed to: City Manager Alberto Perez, P.O. Box 837, Mercedes, Texas 78570, or delivered to 400 S. Ohio Ave., Mercedes, Texas 78570 and clearly marked “Bid 2022-017 – Police Department Vehicles” on the lower left-hand cover. The City of Mercedes reserves the right to postpone, to accept or to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities in the bid process and will select on the best value to the City. Bids may be held by the City of Mercedes for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigation of the bidder’s qualifications and making recommendation to the City of Mercedes for contract award.
