No hard copies will be provided. Offerors may print the bid documents at their own expense only for the purpose of the preparing their respective proposals. Proposal security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the largest possible total of proposal submitted must accompany each proposal in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. Performance and payment bonds for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract value will be required upon issuance of contract. The City of Mercedes will receive sealed bids for the City of Mercedes Police Department Renovations until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2022, addressed to the City of Mercedes’s City Secretary’s Office, Mercedes City Hall, 400 South Ohio Ave., Merecedes, Texas 78570. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud as near as practical after 3:00 p.m. on the date of submittal at the Mercedes City Hall. Bids received after closing time will be returned unopened. It is the responsibility of the submitter to see that any BID submitted shall have sufficient time to be received by the City Secretary’s Office prior to the BID opening date and time. The receiving time in the City Secretary’s Office will be the governing time for acceptability of the BIDS. BIDS will not be accepted by telephone or facsimile machine. All BIDS must bear original signatures and figures.
