RFQ 2024-014 REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES GROUNDWATER AVAILABILITY STUDY AND SUPPLY WELL CITY OF MERCEDES, TEXAS The City of Mercedes is seeking written responses to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to retain an Engineering firm for design services necessary for a Groundwater Availability Study and a Groundwater Supply Well to be located at a site to be determined as described in scope of services consistent with standards, procedures, and best management practices in Texas. The well will have a capacity to pump approximately 1400 gallons per minute (GPM) of potable water. The well shall be located, designed and constructed in accordance with applicable City, State, and Federal Standards. This well will be associated with City of Mercedes Water Plant and the engineering for the facilities (piping, valves, controls, etc.) to connect the well to the plant are all inclusive to this scope. Sealed responses addressed to the City of Mercedes must be received BEFORE THURSDAY, May 2, 2024, 4:00 PM, CDT, at City Hall, 400 S. Ohio Ave., Mercedes, TX 78570. All Responses must be in the City of Mercedes’s possession and stamped received on or before the scheduled date and time (no late responses will be considered). Responses submitted to the City of Mercedes must be received before the due date and time. The City of Mercedes is not open for weekend or holiday deliveries. The response documents can be obtained either by contacting City Hall, 400 S. Ohio Ave, Mercedes, TX 78570 or by calling the Contract Specialist at (956) 565-3114 or on the City of Mercedes website: www.cityofmercedes.com The contract will be awarded to the Respondent(s) on the basis of demonstrated competence and qualifications to perform the goods/services. The City of Mercedes reserves the right to refuse and reject any or all responses, waive any or all formalities or technicalities, accept the response or portions of the response determined to be the best value and most advantageous to the City of Mercedes, and may hold the responses for a period of 120 days without taking action.
