About Greensville County Public Schools Greensville County Public Schools ("GCPS" or the "School Board") is a Virginia public school division headquartered in Emporia, Virginia. GCPS currently serves approximately 2,000 students in three schools and provides Pre-K through Grade 12 educational services. GCPS's mission is to provide, together with families and the community, a safe, rigorous, student-centered environment that empowers learners. B.
