ADDENDUM NO. 2 Design-Build RFP #26-1 Morello Park Elementary School T.K. Building Project and Alhambra High School New Gymnasium Project Martinez Unified School District Martinez, California October 29, 2025 This addendum shall supersede all previously issued specifications, addenda, and drawings wherein this addendum contradicts previously issued documents. All other conditions remain unchanged. The following changes, modifications, corrections, clarifications, and / or additions as set forth herein shall apply to the above documents and shall be made a part thereof and shall be subject to all the requirements thereof as though originally specified and / or shown. GENERAL – ALL PROJECTS 2.01 Document 00 63 40 ALLOWANCE EXPENDITURE DIRECTIVE FORM has been included as an Addendum 2 attachment. QUESTIONS/CLARIFICATIONS – ALL PROJECTS 2.02 In reviewing the bid documents, the school's guide specification mentions Cx requirements to follow CalGreen, however CalGreen does not require commissioning for buildings under 10,000SF. Can you advise the commissioning requirements for the 2 projects? Does the District have commissioning standards? or do the projects follow the Title 24 Cx requirements as if buildings are larger than 10,000SF? “Design-Build Team to comply with any CalGreen commissioning requirements for each building and to comply with all codes and agency standards identified in the RFP bridging specifications” 2.03 Can you please provide more clarity on what exactly the District is looking for in terms of Lifecycle Cost Analysis? Life Cycle Cost analysis should provide context to the Building System proposed by the Design-Build team. This should include the proposed value the building system design, the average life span of materials selected, and overall quality of the proposed system compared to others. 2.04 Can you please provide clarity on which sections (if any) do not count towards the 25-page limit? Page 12, Item IX.A says, “Each proposal shall not contain more than twenty-five (25) single-sided pages… this excludes front and back covers, and tabs, and any additional allowed appendix material that is identified in the RFP. 2.05 We respectfully ask if the District would allow us to include qualifications for an alternate subconsultant within our proposal packet. Our intent in doing so is to provide the District with the flexibility to consider the most qualified team members and to achieve the best overall value for the project.
