ADDENDUM #1 IFB NO. 2024-001 August 14, 2024 MEMO TO: ALL BIDDERS FROM: Eastern Shore of Virginia Broadband Authority Robert Bridgham, Executive Director DATE: August 14, 2024 SUBJECT: ADDENDUM #1 IFB #2024-001 This listing of addendum items is distributed to all bidding contractors and is to be included as part of the IFB #2024-001 Core Router Replacement bid documents. You must sign and return this addendum signed to be considered a responsive bidder. Response to Queries 1. Question: The solicitation is calling for 2 routers, would you like 3 QSFP’s total or 3 QSFP’s per router for a total of 6 QSFPs? Answer: The bid is asking for a total of 3 QSFPs where two are for live deployment and one is an emergency spare. 2. Question: (I1_12. Cisco SNTC-8X5XNBD ASR 9902 Chassis, 2R) and (I1_14. Cisco SNTC-8X5XNBD ASR 9900 Fixed Chassis Route Processor) is hardware support, would you like 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 years of support? Answer: The ESVBA is requesting 3-years of support on the chassis. Bidders are welcome to offer longer terms but a minimum of 3-years is required. 3. Question: (I1_13. Cisco SWSS UPGRADES ASR 9902 Full scale VRF License for Fixed Ports) would you like 1, 2 ,3, 4 or 5 years of support for these licenses? Answer: As in answer #2, the ESVBA is requesting 3-years of support. Bidders are welcome to offer longer terms but a minimum of 3-years is required. 4. Question: Would the ESVBA consider a trade-in of the existing router platforms and, if so, what are the make/models of those platforms? Answer: The ESVBA would consider a trade-in. We have revised our IFB on page 15 to include a list of the platforms we would be trading in and our requirements. We still require a stand-alone bid but will accept an option for trade-in as indicated. Question: There was a reference to a pre-bid meeting in the ESVBA Terms and Conditions document, is that a required event? Answer: The terms and conditions document has been updated to remove the reference to the pre-bid meeting as well as some section errors and index errors.
