Single file down one side of a street coned off? Where can spoils be hauled off from curb clean up, etc? City yard? Other? Proposal references GADOT Spec. governs. Is the 315 Cement Stabilized Reclaimed Base Construction the spec. to use? Is a mix design required for this project like GADOT 315 calls out? ANSWER Equipment needs to be stored on public property. This could be along one side of a street or in a cul de sac or in a public parking lot. Coordinate with the city inspector. The City has no facility for excess spoils. Contractor is to haul off. Is there a georeport or core findings of the roads to see how much asphalt there is and what is underneath? Businesses with multiple entrances. Can we close off one entrance during the process? i.e. McDonald’s and QT at Roger Marten Way. Hydrant and meter access. Will the city provide a meter and can we hook on to any hydrants in the project? Is there a bidders list available? No cores have been done. Will the City of Tucker require the finished asphalt to be flush with the lip of the curb & gutter? What will be the average depth of the Patching? The finished asphalt level should be the same as existing since we are removing the same depth that we’re replacing. Patching depth will vary from 4”-6” in depth. To be determined by the City inspector. Yes. The contractor’s plant is to submit a mix design. Yes, as long as one full access driveway remains open at all times. Coordinate with the inspector. The contractor is responsible for obtaining a water meter from DeKalb County Watershed Management. A plan holders list is available on BidNet.com posting for this ITB. The pay item for Milling states that Yes. the depth will be 2”. Several of these roads that are not receiving FDR have asphalt above or in the gutter.
