ADDENDUM #1 RFQ 24-001 Bowden Street Tank Painting and Inspection This addendum is being issued to address questions submitted on RFQ 24-001 Q1. Are you familiar with a project out for bid for the City of Commerce entitled SMS: Water Tank Painting and Inspection? I did not find it on the City’s Bid Opportunities page. A1. We have a project on our Bid Opportunities page for RFQ 24-001 Bowden St Tank, which is for the painting and inspection. https://commercega.gov/business/bid-opportunities Q2. There does not appear to be a clear scope of work specified to be completed, or to the standards by which that work should be performed. Can you please provide a comprehensive listing of the Scope of Work we would be bidding? A2. WORK INCLUDED 1. Preparation of surfaces which are to receive finishes. 2. All waste generated during the tank work will be properly disposed of. 3. Tank repairs & Inspection. 4. Finish surfaces & Inspection. 5. Cleaning and restoration of site. Q3. There is mention of the work being inspected by a NACE inspector, will that NACE inspector be chosen and provided by the City of Commerce, or will that be the Contractor’s responsibility to hire a NACE inspector? A3. The contractor must provide a NACE certified inspector. Q4. What is the estimated construction budget? A4. $200,000 This addendum should be signed and returned with your proposal. Failure to do so may result in the proposal being nonresponsive.
